New (to me) Things
My (dog’s) new dogbed came today.
Amazon.com’s purported dimension: 29x39x4 inches. That’s 1131 LxW. It’s awesome. I might even sleep on it. Happily. My 50 lb dog can easily snuggle up alone in the middle of this mass of fluffy blue happypad. Kinda wish I’d bought two while they were on sale. Oh well.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m grateful to have such ridiculously low rent costs. But the air filter we just installed on August 6th has already gone from white to dark grey. I’m not sure if this is more telling of my vocabulary or my reading choices, but I rarely have to look words up anymore. It’s amusing to find such choice morsels as “consanguinity” and “ovine” in a work of sci-fi.
Hard to believe, but it’s been two years now.
At least I’m not still waking up in the middle of the night to go cry in the kitchen and punch the floor until my fist hurts more than the memory.
